May 7 Commons Spring Mulch / Spruce Up
We are planning a neighborhood volunteer event to spruce up our commons areas. The commons areas planned for spruce up include the front entry at Ridge Trl, the landscape island at the top of Ridge Trl, and the island on Lost Hickory Court. This landscaping clean-up will include minor weeding, pruning existing plants, possible flower planting, and installing mulch. The event is all day from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Feel free to stop in for a few hours to socialize and enjoy the Spring season. Please bring your favorite garden tools. Send a note to IVSAClarkston@gmail.com to confirm your interest. June 25 Lake Party
Nancy and Joe Dijanni have offered to host a subdivision party at their lake house on 5166 Ridge Trl S. The party is planned from 1PM to 5PM. Please bring a dish-to-pass and a lawn chair. All IVSA members and their family are welcome to come and meet your neighbors while enjoying the lake.
September 23 Lake Easement Spruce Up
We are planning to perform a “natural” cleanup on the Lake Access Easement lot located on Lost Hickory. The goal is create a natural walking path accessible during the low water season (Sept – March). The planned activities include:
-Remove the brush and minor growth along the existing walking path
-Add wood chips in the areas which do not get submerged in water
-Remove invasive Buckthorn at shoreline to create small clearing for lake viewing
-Define walking trail with existing fallen timber
